WB GROUP has recently entered into a landmark agreement with the Korean Defense Procurement Agency (DAPA) for the supply of WARMATE loitering munitions. These advanced strike systems, proven in high-intensity combat scenarios, will significantly enhance South Korea’s defense capabilities. Notably, WB GROUP becomes the first and only company from Poland to provide military equipment to the South Korean Armed Forces, marking a significant achievement in the company’s international expansion and highlighting Poland’s growing influence in global defense technology.
On October 2, the opening day of the KADEX (Korea Army International Defense Industry Exhibition) at the Gyeryongdae Armed Forces Command, WB GROUP has concluded a contract with the South Korean Defense Procurement Agency DAPA (Defense Acquisition Program Administration) for the supply of WARMATE strike systems.
The contract was formally signed by Piotr Wojciechowski, President of WB GROUP, and Jae Joon Chung, General Director of the South Korean Defense Procurement Agency (DAPA). The ceremony was attended by key representatives from both the Polish and South Korean defense ministries. The Polish side was represented by Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Defense, responsible for the technical modernization of the Polish Army.
The order consists of several hundred WARMATE strike systems, both in combat and training versions, which will be supplied to the South Korean Army. WB GROUP is the first and currently the only Polish company to supply military equipment to the South Korean Armed Forces.
The WARMATE loitering munition, developed in Poland, is a highly advanced, swarm and formation-capable strike system that has earned a reputation for reliability and effectiveness. Produced in the thousands, WARMATE is a mature and combat-proven technology, designed to operate in the most challenging environments of high-intensity conflict. Its impressive performance in combat scenarios has made it a valuable asset not only for the Polish Army but also for several allied nations, including those within NATO.
WARMATE is a light strike system characterized by its impressive flight endurance and an interchangeable warhead. Depending on the mission, operators can choose from multi-purpose high-explosive (HE), anti-tank (HEAT), or thermobaric (TB) warheads for targeting fortified positions.
Polish loitering munitions is distinguished by its effective operation in conditions of strong impact of electronic warfare means, with disrupted satellite navigation signals. WARMATE is characterized by a low logistical burden, as the system can be easily carried in backpacks, offering remarkable portability. The strike system can be launched from nearly any location, including high-altitude areas, and it is equally effective over land or sea, making it a highly adaptable and strategic asset for modern military operations.
