WB GROUP at DSA

WB GROUP at DSA

WB GROUP presented its solutions at DSA 2024, one of the largest defense industry expos in Asia. The unmanned systems, communications systems, and a remotely controlled weapon station was shown at the WB GROUP’s pavilion.

The WB GROUP’s stand was located in hall 6 (6530). During the DSA, it was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Malaysian armored forces commands, communications forces, army air forces, navy, armed forces procurement departments, the office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, as well as representatives of cooperating companies, such as DEFTECH/DRB HICOM, and Open Apps.

The Malaysian armed forces use WB GROUP solutions, so the FONET digital communication platform and the 35010 radio were present. This equipment is well known to soldiers and is used by them in large numbers. Polish systems are included in the Malaysian land forces official equipment list.

By the end of this year, the offset agreement regarding the transfer of technology from the Polish side to Malaysian partners will be completed. It assumes the creation of logistic support systems, inspections and repairs, as well as the development of unmanned aerial system technologies.

The FlyEye unmanned aerial system (UAS) with a simulator was shown in Kuala Lumpur. The advanced Polish platform is being produced on a mass scale. FlyEye is battle proven in combat during high-intensity conflict. The UAS can operate autonomously, also in the event of disruption of the satellite navigation signal, and also cooperates with the TAK system.

The Warmate loitering ammunition is the precision strike system developed by WB GROUP. Like FlyEye, it is a combat-proven solution capable of operating in an environment saturated with enemy electronic warfare systems.

The ZMU-05 remotely controlled weapon system was a novelty that was first shown in Malaysia. The unmanned turret can be armed with the Browning M2 machine gun.

An optoelectronic payload allows ZMU-05 to increase the situational awareness of the crew, it can also be integrated with the EYEQ LAND artificial intelligence module and remotely controlled using the U-GATE personal command and observation system.
